Hello…
Welcome, I'm Sean Whitman.
A UI designer based in Boston, Massachusetts.
I’m a UI designer with a unique blend of creative design and hospitality expertise. I spent years curating unique experiences with a very different set of tools. Although my lifestyle may have changed, the focus is still the same—people and delivering memorable experiences.
Throughout my years in the hospitality industry, I've learned that understanding people's needs, desires, and expectations is the foundation for delivering exceptional experiences.
A great UI design should be visually appealing and seamlessly guide users through their journey, just like an exceptional hospitality service anticipates and fulfills guests' needs.

My approach to UI design is anchored by a love for innovation and pushing boundaries. I constantly seek new ways to break free from conventions, striving to create new, unique user experiences and populate a bit of fun in this functional digital world! By thinking out of the box, I aim to create designs that truly resonate and leave a lasting impact.
Although intuitively creative, I am also highly detail-oriented. Quality over quantity is my way of life, which continues in my designs. Creating immersive and engaging content is all in the details, and that is something I strive to excel at. I hope that shines through within the projects featured on this site.
If you are looking for a UI designer who brings a fresh perspective, an eye for detail, and a touch of creativity to every project, we should have a chat!

Insight…
I am a pretty private person.
But here are a few little snacks if you’re interested!
When not immersing myself in digital design, I usually go for a jog or a long bike ride. I am casually flirting with the idea of entering a local triathlon next summer. We shall see!
My first love was music. I was a nightclub DJ for six years after high school, and I used to host an online weekly radio show; before podcasts were a thing… You will never find me without a pair of headphones!
I am not a foodie. Although I dedicated many years to being a talented cook, my true love is smoothies.
Foodwise, I love handmade pasta (which was kind of my thing) and Skittles!
Travel Aspirations. Lake Tahoe is haunting me. Whether by foot or pedal, I must experience that beauty! I also really want to ride in Switzerland. Visiting and hiking the US Northwest Coast and Alaska are also on that list. I also plan on completing the forty-mile trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in a few years. But these days, I mostly visit Connecticut. To visit my mother!
Ambitions…
Dream big, work harder.
With continued sacrifice and some luck, here are a few goals.
Professionally: To join a passionate team and contribute to a project while continuing to grow my skills as a UI designer. I am open to design in any field. If my hospitality background could be an asset to a project, great. However, I am excited to explore any projects and hope that my hospitality background is only a tiny footnote in my digital footprint in the future.
Personal Projects: Publish and release a book. I slowly started crafting a book during the two years that Covid-19 held us all captive. I need to re-edit my re-edits. And finish the photography. Winter 2024? Maybe…
Long-term: I have chased being a successful entrepreneur my entire life. I successfully opened the doors to my own business a few years ago… But hard work and determination only get you so far. I'm not sure I have another one in me, but I’m also not saying I don’t. Having ambitious goals keeps you sharp. I plan to stay sharp. The goal remains, despite the inevitable heartbreak!
Thank you.
Thanks for visiting my site. I really appreciate it.
I’m actively looking for the right opportunity.
Remote would be ideal. Open to hybrid/remote in the area.
Thank you for your time and consideration. -S.
